If you build it, they will come

After constructing his own home and his company’s two-storey office out of metal shipping containers, Mario Costantini is starting another project.

The president of ADM Storage at 3000 McGillivray in the RM of Macdonald, Costantini plans to open a flea market on his property this spring. Vendors can rent kiosks he and his employees are now in the process of building – once again using shipping containers.

He said he’s able to provide electricity for potential vendors and hopes to attract any looking for a new spot to sell their wares.

"I don’t plan on running the business," said Costantini. "I’ll rent out the kiosks."

He added that it will be up to each vendor to decide what hours they wish to open.

The inventive businessman received approval from the municipal council for a one year trial period.

"It will be a learning process," said Costantini.
