Information wanted on armed robbery in Elie

Police are looking for information on an armed robbery that happened on March 2 in Elie.


A gas station on the Trans-Canada Highway was held up at 8 p.m. Witnesses report that a male carrying a handgun entered the station, and received an undisclosed quantity of cash and lottery tickets before fleeing in a waiting vehicle. There were no injuries.  


The thief is described as about 5-10 with a medium build, wearing all black clothing. His head was shaved, and there was a discoloration visible under his right cheek bone.
