Liberal candidate Jeremy Barber wants to hear from residents in the provincial riding of Morris.
Barber, who grew up in Sanford, is using an online survey to poll local residents on public policy issues. He said the constituency is large and he wants to find out what’s most important to people living in different communities.
"The town of Morris is affected by flooding, but that’s not the case in Oak Bluff," he said, as an example.
Since the survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/283NZLQ was posted in mid-April, about 200 people completed it, and Barber hopes more will take the time to answer its four questions.
He plans to use the information collected in his campaign.
He would like to see the provincial government include a question on the Morris byelection ballot asking voters if they want a provincial referendum held on the recently announced 1% PST increase.
"That’s something we’re hoping for," he said.
