Local riders compete on team

  • Print

Two local riders participated on Team Manitoba at a recent national equestrian competition in Calgary.

Lindsay Feller, who rides at her family’s Bluebear Farms between Oak Bluff and Sanford, and Kayla Kuebler from Starbuck competed in this year’s Canada Interprovincial Equestrian Championship from Sept. 13 to 15.

Feller was one of four Manitoba riders participating in dressage. While she’s competed within the province, this was the first time she rode her horse, Unbelievable, in a national competition.

Kuebler, who also competed in dressage, said this was also the first time she’d been at the competition with her pony, Mary Poppins.

While the Manitoba team didn’t place at the top, Kuebler said it was a good experience for her and her teammates.
