Shopping in the city
Cartier residents age 55 and over are invited to join in a shopping trip to the west end of Portage Ave. in Winnipeg. The Cartier Senior Citizens Support Commiittee’s van will pick up participants at St. Eustache Manor at 10:45 a.m. and at Elie Manor at 11 a.m. There is a $10 transportation fee.

Admire some foreign wheels
A Euro-British car show will be held Aug. 11 at the Headingley Community Centre (5353 Portage Ave.) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Try your luck after dinner
A pot-luck supper is planned for Aug. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Eustache Manor, with cards to follow. All residents of the surrounding areas are welcome to join us.

Visit the Portage farmers’ market
Cartier Senior Citizens Support Commiittee members are visiting the farmers’ market at the PCU Centre on August 14.  Participants will be picked up at the St. Eustache Manor at 2:30 p.m. and the Elie Manor at 2:45 p.m.  The  $15 cost includes transport and a picnic supper in Island Park.

Exploring other cultures
The St. Eustache Young at Heart members have organized a bus trip to Folklorama on August 15. The cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members, and includes bus fare and stops at three pavilions.
