Looking for volunteers

The Cartier Senior Citizens Support Committee is looking for volunteer drivers to take local seniors on occasional outings to medical appointments. Please contact Lin at 204-353-2470 if you have a bit of spare time to volunteer.

Socializing over good food

A meal program is offered at Elie Manor from Monday to Friday at 5:30 p.m. for just $6. Please call 204-353-2470 the day before you plan to attend or sign up at the Manor.  

A weekly lunch program is offered at St. Eustache Manor on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. Please call 204-353-2470 the day before or sign up at the Manor.

The St. Eustache Young at Heart members offer a meal program every Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Eustache Community Hall. For reservations or information, call Doris at 204-353-4532 or Lorna at 204-353-4538.

Fun for babies and parents

The La Salle Stay ‘n Play program, for children from birth to five years, runs every Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the La Salle Community Fellowship hall. Contact facilitator Robyn Enns at 204-736-2097 for information.

Time to socialize in Sanford

Club Rendezvous for seniors in the RM of Macdonald is beginning on Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with sesssions planned on Oct. 24 and 31 and Nov. 28. All sessions will be held in the Sanford Legion and the cost is $50 for the five weeks of physical and mental exercise combined with social interaction among peers. Lunch is included.

It’s in the cards

Whist with a Twist is being held on Sept. 27, Oct. 25 and Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. in the
Sanford Legion. The cost is $5 per person. Cash prizes are available and refreshments served. You do not need to know how to play as we will teach you. Everyone is welcome!

Great food in Starbuck

The Starbuck Fowl Supper will be held on Sept. 29 in the Starbuck Hall with sittings at 4 and 6 p.m. The cost for adults is $12 and $6 for children. Tickets:are available at Dawn Til Dusk or call 204-735-2378.
