Fast pitch action
The La Salle Bullets men’s fastball team will play home games at the LSCU Complex in La Salle on Wed., July 30 and Wed., Aug. 6.

Buying fresh produce
The Red River Ex’s farmers’ market opens from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
every Saturday until Sept. 27. The market is located in the white tent at the south end parking lot off of Racetrack Road. Parking and admission are free.
Shelmerdine Garden Centre is hosting a farmers’ market in their parking lot at 7800 Roblin Boulevard, Headingley on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Sept. 20.

Brush up on riding skills
Hi Point Horsemanship is offering mini-clinics on Fridays in August from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cow Trac mechanical flag night is also being held every Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m., with a leather and lace drill practice on Sundays at 12:30 p.m.

Teeing off in annual tourney
The La Salle Annual Charity Golf Tournament is set for Fri., Aug. 29 at the Kingswood Golf & Country Club in La Salle. For information and to register, contact Christie at 204-227-7782 or Jenn at 204-999-6981.
Kingswood’s management has also announced new alternative 15- inch cups for use on their course.
According to information on the website, the golf course is the first in Manitoba to offer the larger cups. They are used to help speed up the pace of golfing, lower scores and make golf fun for beginners and players of all levels.
The course offers regular hole sizes and the larger 15-inch cups on every green, so players can choose which they prefer to use.

Golfing to support charity
The Canadian Hemophilia Society is holding a golf tournament on Tues., Sept. 9 at Bridges Golf Course near Starbuck. The cost is $150 and includes a light lunch and buffet dinner.
