nternationally-renowned landscape planner, site designer and author Randall Arendt will work with Rosser council and residents to develop a secondary plan.
This plan will provide direction for growth in the Village of Rosser.
"We’ve had a real demand for new housing in Rosser," reeve Frances Smee said.
However, she and the councillors want to see growth occur in a planned fashion.
"What we want is a village with a centre," she added.
Coun. Kelvin Stewart suggested council see if Arendt was interested in responding to the request for proposals that they issued. He had attended one of Arendt’s presentations and was impressed with the planner’s work, which incorporates conservation in planning development.
Smee said Arendt’s bid was accepted and she looks forward to consulting with him later this month.
Local residents and anyone interested will be able to attend a public session, but no date has yet been set.
