Cliff Kolson, executive vice-president of Maxim Truck & Trailers, is now sitting on CentrePort’s board of directors after being appointed as the RM of Rosser’s representative.
Kolson said he’s a minority partner in Maxim, which is located at 580 Oak Point Highway 90, within the section of Rosser that is part of CentrePort.
The company has operated its business on 40 acres there since 2000, and Kolson said this gives him an insight into issues associated with business development in the area.
Trained as a chartered accountant, Kolson oversees financial, human resource and information technology for Maxim.
"I will sit out (of a board decision) if it’s a conflict," he said, adding that he’s pleased to be offered the opportunity to help CentrePort and the RM of Rosser work towards their shared goals.
