  • Print

The countdown begins …

2014 will mark the 100th year since the incorporation of the Rural Municipality of Cartier and events are being planned to celebrate this occasion. Reserve the weekend of June 13 and 14, 2014 to attend this 100th birthday of Cartier.

During this countdown to the centennial celebration, articles will be printed in The Headliner to highlight various aspects of the RM of Cartier — past, present and future.

A message from the reeve:

Greetings to everyone,

Our communities in the Rural Municipality of Cartier have built treasures of memories, experiences and agricultural resources for 100 years. As we plan our activities to recognize this historic moment, I invite everyone to join in our celebrations.

We hope all of our residents, neighbours and friends, past and present, will come to the RM of Cartier to celebrate and enjoy our rich heritage, diverse culture, country roots and friendly communities.

In the coming weeks, read about our municipality and mark the dates of June 13 and 14, 2014 to come home to the RM of Cartier and enjoy the celebration.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Roland Rasmussen, Reeve
Rural Municipality of Cartier
