Winnipeg police are looking for assistance in an assault case in East Kildonan.
Emergency personnel responded to a report of an assault near Brazier Street and Helmsdale Avenue around 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 26. They found a 32-year-old woman suffering from non-threatening injuries, for which she was treated at a local hospital.
The woman was assaulted in a vehicle and then left in a back lane. Area residents found the woman and contacted police.
Members of the East District Crime Unit continue to investigate. Anyone with information about the assault or suspects in the case are asked to call police at 204-986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
