Attendees are shown at the 2013 Cruisin’ the Peg Sub Zero Cruise event, which raised approximately $6,700 in support of L’Arche Winnipeg. The organization creates homes for those with developmental disabilities. Four of the six Winnipeg homes are in Transcona, while the other two are in St. Boniface. This year’s event will take place on March 8 at The Oak (826 Regent Ave. W.). Tickets are $25 and include dinner and entertainment from Harlequin. Tickets are available at the L’Arche Tova Café (119 Regent Ave. W.), the L’Arche Winnipeg office (118 Regent Ave. E.), or at the front desk at Canad Inns Destination Centre, online at theoakwinnipeg.com, or by calling (204) 694-SHOW (7469).
