Elmwood Legion hosting events

The Ladies Auxiliary of Elmwood Legion Branch #9 is keeping busy with several upcoming events.

The group is hosting a ham bingo on Wed., April 16 at 7 p.m. The initial entry card is $5, with each card thereafter going for 75 cents.

On Sun., April 27, the group will hold its spring tea from 1:30 to 4 p.m. There will be a silent auction, bake sale, touch and take table, white elephant table, and a grocery hamper table.
The following Sunday (May 4), the branch is hosting its Olympic Day from noon to 6 p.m. Teams of four will compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals in various events.

Lastly, the branch’s veterans’ dinner is slated for Sun., May 25. Arrangements are still being put into place, but any veterans interested in attending can fill out the form provided by bar staff at the branch.

The legion is located at 920 Nairn Ave.
