Grants for Bronx Park, Gateway
A pair of northeast Winnipeg community centres received City of Winnipeg funding for various projects.
Bronx Park Community Centre received $50,000 for a woodshop, while Gateway Recreation Centre received the same amount to replace its flooring.
The grants were awarded as part of the city’s Fall 2012 intake process, which handed out a total of $386,033 to 12 community centres across the city.
The announcement, which was made Jan. 18, marks the second round of grants given through the Community Centre Renovation Grant Program, which was approved by council in February 2012.
