Over half a million dollars worth of marijuana was confiscated from a North Kildonan home on June 4.
That evening at around 8:15 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service Marihuana Grow Operation United, with help from the Tactical Support Team and Uniform Patrol, executed a warrant in the 700-block of McLeod Avenue.
A male suspect was seen fleeing the home, but was arrested in the backyard. When the home was searched, investigators found 459 marijuana plants worth $514,000 and grow operation equipment valued at $17,000. A 46-year-old male was charged with production of a controlled substance, possessing substance for the purpose of trafficking, and theft of telecommunications. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
