Kildonan Place to host free zumba classes

  • Print

Wednesdays will now be zumba days at Kildonan Place Shopping Centre.

In a release on April 4, the mall (1555 Regent Ave. W.) announced it will begin holding free Zumba Gold classes at centre court every Wednesday beginning at 9 a.m. The classes are open to all, and there is no need to register. Attendees are encouraged to wear athletic shoes, and no equipment is needed.

The approximately 30-minute classes will be run by local instructor Tammy Vogel as part of an eight-week pilot program. The centre will consider making the program a year-round one if it is successful, and it will also look into adding other active-living programs.

"We’re always looking for ways to give our customers something unexpected, and to go beyond the traditional mall experience," mall marketing director Corey Quintaine said in a release. "Zumba is a great way for people of any age to get moving and have some fun."
