  • Print

Past students of Lord Selkirk School are set to celebrate their 60th reunion.

The Poplar Avenue school’s class of 1953 is holding a dinner at the Nor Villa Hotel at 1763 Henderson Hwy. on June 4. The evening will begin with drinks at 4:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m.

The menu includes roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, salad, buns, dessert, tea, and coffee. Tickets are $30 and a cash bar will be available.

Organizer Betty Hansford estimated 40 people had bought tickets as of press time.

"This is 60 years now since we graduated, so we thought we should at least do something," she said. "We’ll have a cocktail hour to meet and greet old friends, and then we’re having a nice sit-down dinner."

Those interested in attending can contact Hansford at 1-204-756-6454 or Shirley Goerzen at 204-334-7705.
