Bell Let’s Talk Day will be making an impression in Elmwood.
The communication giant’s nationwide campaign, designed to get Canadians celebrating and talking about mental health, will make a stop at Clara Hughes Recreation Park on Jan. 28.
The event will include skating, ice sculpturing, and musical performances, and will run from 4 to 7 p.m.
Hughes, a six-time Olympic medallist who grew up in Elmwood, is a spokesperson for the Let’s Talk campaign. Hughes has suffered from severe depression, and will begin a 12,000-kilometre bike ride, called Clara’s Big Ride, this spring in support of the campaign.
