  • Print

Winnipeg police are probing a robbery at a North Kildonan gas bar.

Patrolling officers responded to the report of a robbery at a gas bar in the 1400 block of Henderson Highway around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 5.

Officers were told a male suspect came up to the kiosk, propped open the door, and demanded cash from the employee, an 18-year-old male. The clerk said there was no cash at the register, and the suspect demanded and received cartons of cigarettes before fleeing the store.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 30 to 40 years old with a medium build, light complexion and light-coloured hair. He also had acne scars on his upper cheekbones and his nose. He was wearing a checker-patterned parka, a hoodie, and a dark-coloured neck warmer.

As the Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate, anyone with information is encouraged to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
