  • Print

Snow Trek 2014 is planned for Feb. 2, and organizers are seeking volunteers.

The event, taking place at Harbour View Recreation Complex (1867 Springfield Rd.) from noon to 4 p.m. that day, will include use of ski and snowshoe equipment, learn-to-ski tips and instruction, and the chance to partake in urban poling and geocaching. As well, visitors will have the opportunity to toboggan and skate at the park. All events are free.

Volunteer positions available include: greeters, registration/equipment ID/waiver desk, outdoor activity helpers, or working the hot chocolate and beverages table. All positions are for four hours.
