Plans announced for École Centale centennial
Plans are coming together for the Central School-École Centrale 100th anniversary.
The school, located at 604 Day St., will mark its centennial on Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with official ceremonies and speeches, a new mural, a display from the Transcona Historical Museum, as well as other memorabilia. As well, there will be a concert featuring children’s musicians Just Kiddin’, as well as a variety of food options.
Those looking to volunteer or share old school memorabilia at the event can contact co-principal Sid Shapira through email at sshapira@retsd.mb.ca.
