  • Print

The Riverview Health Centre Foundation hopes to get people pedalling for a good cause.

The centre, located at 1 Morley Ave., will host the 16th annual Cycle on Life event on Sun., June 8 in support of its Alzheimer’s and dementia units.

Two routes are offered, with the 25-kilometre route taking riders from the centre to Investors Group Field and back again. The 65-kilometre route, meanwhile, goes down to St. Adolphe via St. Mary’s Road, then back up Pembina Highway to the rest stop at Investors Group Field. The long ride begins at 8:30 a.m. and the short ride at 10 a.m.

There are fundraising incentives at $250, $500, and additional increments of $500, while all riders will receive a T-shirt and a coupon for a free ice cream at Bridge Drive-In.

After the ride, there will be a barbecue lunch and games at the centre.
