A Saskatchewan blues band will soon perform in Winnipeg with a special friend.
The Good Buddies Blues Band from Dr. Martin LeBoldus Catholic High School in Regina will play its tunes while demonstrating "authentic inclusion using the power of friendship through music," according to a release.
The band will play at Jubilee Place Concert Hall at 173 Talbot Ave. on May 17 at 7:30 p.m. They will be joined by Regina entertainer Colby Nargang, who is one of Canada’s top Roy Orbison tribute artists.
Nargang has a rare genetic disorder called Williams Syndrome, which causes cardiovascular problems, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and characteristic facial features. However, the condition also gives those affected by it highly social personalities and an affinity for music.
Admission for the show is $10 at the door.
