Spring break events planned for libraries

Local children can spend spring break at their local library.

Northeast branches of the Winnipeg Public Library will be holding special events for children.

Firstly, children’s entertainer Mr. Mark will perform at the Henderson Library at 1-1050 Henderson Hwy. at 2 p.m. on March 24. Call 204-986-7916 to register.

On March 25, at 11 a.m., the Transcona Library at 111 Victoria Ave. W. will hold Reading With Raptors, which will feature staff from the Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre providing facts about owls and falcons. The session is for children ages six and up, though younger children may attend if accompanied by an adult. Call 204-986-3955 to register.

Reading With Raptors will also be held at the Munroe Library at 489 London St. at 6:30 p.m. on March 28. Call 204-986-3736 to register.
