Winnipeg police quickly apprehended a suspect in connection with an East Elmwood robbery.
Police were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1100 block of Nairn Avenue shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Aug. 13 in response to a report of a robbery. A 33-year-old clerk at the store told police a lone male entered the store, indicated he had a weapon, and demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled on foot, and the clerk was not injured.
A suspect was arrested in the area a short time later. Twenty-five-year-old Patrick Ronaldo Knuba has been detained in custody at the Provincial Remand Centre after being charged with robbery with theft, identity fraud – intent to gain advantage, fail to comply with condition recognizance, and breach of probation.
