Suspicious males took playground pics

Winnipeg police are seeking two suspicious men in connection with an incident in Elmwood on March 26.

That day, the two unknown males were seen observing children at play in the area of Riverton Avenue and Talbot Avenue around 2:45 p.m.

The men were seen smoking outside their vehicle and then taking pictures of two 11-year-old females in the playground. The men did not make contact with the children and no one was injured.

The suspect who was driving the vehicle is described as a Caucasian male, between 40 and 50 years of age, 5-8 tall with an average build, and grey blonde hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a beige winter jacket with a white-coloured wool collar.

The passenger is described as a Caucasian male, between 40 and 50 years of age, 5-10 tall. He was wearing a dark-coloured hat and a beige winter jacket with a white wool collar.

The vehicle is described as a newer red four-door car similar to a Chevrolet Impala.

As the East District Crime Unit continues to investigate, anyone with information about the incident or the men are encouraged to call investigators at 204-986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
