Time running out for Youth Role Model nominations

If you know a young person doing good work who deserves a little recognition, now is your chance to help them get it.

The Citizen Equity Committee of the City of Winnipeg is accepting nominations for the Youth Role Model Award.

Nominees must be a resident of Winnipeg, be between the ages of 15 and 24, submit a written autobiography, be ready to be interviewed by the selection committee, and be an outstanding achiever in one or more of the honoured categories. Categories include: courage, community volunteering, sports, education and training, performing arts, creative arts, community health and wellness, and advocacy.

Nominations are due by March 15 and must be submitted to the Citizen Equity Outreach Office at 510 Main St., 3rd Floor Room 8 – Administration Building, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 1B9. Forms can also be emailed to kosei-bonsu@winnipeg.ca or faxed to 204-986-8283. More information is available at http://www.citizenequity.org/news_details.php?news_id=10.
