Community members will soon get the chance to free their spirit for a good cause.
The St. Vital-based St.Amant Foundation will hold its annual Free the Spirit Festival, presented by National Bank, in the John and Bonnie Buhler Reflective Gardens at 440 River Rd. on Sat., Sept. 21 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The festival is intended to raise awareness and funds for children and adults in Manitoba living with developmental disabilities and autism. Last year, Manitobans raised more than $155,000 for research and programming at St.Amant, organizers say.
Everyone is welcome at the family-focused event, which will feature games, live music, a petting zoo, pony rides, bouncers, face painting, prizes and food. Admission is free, although donations will be welcomed.
