It was a case of game, set and match at Windsor Community Centre on Oct. 19.
Coun. Brian Mayes (St. Vital) joined Clear Lake tennis professional Brad Dubeck and community members at the centre (99 Springside Dr.) to hit a few balls at the reopening of the centre’s newly-renovated tennis court.
"The court at Windsor Community Centre was in rough shape, with big bumps and divots in the surface and trees growing up through the fence," Mayes said, noting he contributed $35,000 in funding from his ward budget for parks and recreation.
"We got the site cleaned up and completely resurfaced. I’m very pleased to have worked with the community centre’s board on the project."
