If you’re looking for a comfortable Christmas shopping experience while helping out a good cause, then St. Vital Centre is the place to be.

That’s the location of the St.Amant Foundation’s gift wrap and coat check station, which will operate until closing time on Tues., Dec. 24 and again on Thurs., Dec. 26.

Located next to the Calendar Club store near the centre’s food hall, volunteer gift-wrapping elves will take care of your gifts and coats while you take on the mall.

Now in its fourth year, the service raised more than $23,000 last year for projects at St.Amant. Donations will help fund electronic transfer lifts and specialized medical and music equipment to help individuals living with developmental disabilities and autism and their families.

Also, on Wed., Dec. 11, there will be the first Celebrity Wrap Battle, between noon and 3 p.m.

Each hour, local celebrity pairings will try to outwit, outlast and outwrap their competitors in a series of wrapping-themed games, organizers say. More details about the battle will be released in due course.

The gift wrap and coat check station is sponsored by Investors Group Winnipeg South Regional Office and St. Vital Centre. To learn more about the organization, visit stamant.ca
