A local church is set to hold a registration night for its upcoming kids club.

Evangel Chapel, located at 1073 St. Mary’s Rd., will be accepting registrations for the club on Wed., Oct. 2 prior to the start of the session, which will include games. The club will run weekly on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. between Oct. 2 and April 30, 2014.

Organizers say the aim of the Christian-based club is to provide children in Grades 1 to 6 with the opportunity to develop and cultivate spiritual and practical skills with a faith-based focus. Sessions will include a lesson, game or craft and a snack. Activities will vary from week to week and there will be occasional group outings.

Annual registration fee for the year is $30 or free for families receiving assistance. Financial help may be available on request, organizers say.
