Winnipeg Public Library is encouraging individuals who want to improve their English to join the conversation.
St. Vital Library (6 Fermor Ave.) will host an English Conversation Group on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon between Jan. 25 and March 22.
The eight-week session is designed to help community members improve their speaking and listening skills by talking about familiar topics, organizers say.
The group is aimed at adults who can understand basic English spoken at an almost normal rate and who can speak in short sentences. The sessions will be limited to 10 people to ensure that everyone has a chance to speak. Weekly attendance is expected.
Child care will not be available at the sessions. To register, call 204-986-5628.
