Area stakeholders recently celebrated the news that Lindsey Wilson Park has been earmarked as the location for a new spray pad in Island Lakes.
Officials say the new pad will be funded by the Building Manitoba Fund (BMF). The province will provide the capital, while the city will be responsible for the design, buildings and maintenance of the facility.
The park, which is already a multi-use recreation site, was chosen as the site for the pad because of its visibility from the street, parking availability and good access for pedestrians and cyclists.
