Students at Windsor School will soon have a new play structure to help let off some steam and get some exercise in a safe environment.
St. Vital MLA and Education Minister Nancy Allen recently announced a provincial contribution of $20,000 from the Community Places Program for the new playground project at the Cunnington Avenue-based school.
"Community infrastructure like this play structure can have a real positive impact on our neighbourhoods," Allan said in a news release. "It’s this type of recreational infrastructure that pulls communities together as children and families engage in healthy activities."
The new structure will replace the old existing wooden structure with a new accessible EVOS-brand play structure, officials say. Construction is expected to begin July 1.
