Police are looking for two males who concealed their identities to rob a restaurant in St. Vital recently.

On Mon., Dec. 30 at around 9 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of a commercial robbery at a restaurant in the 1000 block of St. Mary’s Road.

According to a release issued by police, the two males entered the restaurant and one of the suspects ordered some food. When the clerk opened the cash register, the second male sprayed her with a noxious substance while the first male grabbed an undisclosed amount of money. Both suspects then fled on foot.

Police say the 17-year-old clerk was treated for non-life threatening injuries. A second employee was not injured. At press time, there were no descriptions of the suspects and the investigation was continuing.
