Save Our Seine is set to hold its annual general meeting next week, and organizers are hoping that interested individuals will take time to attend.
The community-based stewardship group — whose mandate is to protect, preserve and enhance the Seine River environment within the city — will hold the event at Morrow Gospel Church (755 St. Anne’s Rd.) on Tues., Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.
The organization’s executive director, Michele Kading, said the AGM will be a chance for attendees to learn about the achievements of the grassroots group, as well as its past, present and future projects and initiatives.
"It’s good to get information flowing out to people about Save Our Seine," said Kading, who has been an environmental educator for more than 30 years. "It will be fantastic to welcome people who are knowledgeable about the river that can bring their own interests and knowledge on board.
"Community members can help us chart a course for the future. We will reflect on the activities of the last year and discuss the priorities for the future," she added.
Coffee and light refreshments will be served at the event. To learn more about the organization, visit saveourseine.com
