St. Vital set to host Super-Spike 2013

  • Print

What do you get when you cross more than 375 volleyball teams with numerous musical acts?

The answer is MTS Super-Spike 2013, presented by Bud Light, which will be held on July 19 and 20 at Maple Grove Rugby Park, located at 190 Frobisher Rd.

The event is billed by organizers as Western Canada’s largest outdoor beach volleyball tournament, combined with a weekend-long concert series set in a festival atmosphere.

This year, dance fusion act Moses Mayes will be headlining the main stage on July 19, while Los Angeles-based rockers Buckcherry will be the main act on July 20.

Though registration for teams is now closed, weekend passes for non-tournament participants can be purchased at www.superspike.ca.
