It appears that Sunday isn’t a day of rest at the St. Boniface Museum.
The museum, located at 494 Tache Ave., is set to hold four consecutive Family Fun Sundays throughout July.
The sessions are aimed at families with children aged between four and 10 and topics include Métis flower beadwork, Manitoba symbols and favourite pastimes in history, organizers say.
On July 7, participants will get the chance to make and taste some homemade butter. July 14 will become laundry day at the museum, when visitors will get to try an old-fashioned washboard. July 21 will provide a chance to play some croquet and horseshoes and learn about these historic sports, and on July 28, attendees will get to learn about the ancient art of embroidery and make a sample to take home.
The sessions will be offered in French from 2 to 2:45 p.m. and in English between 1 and 1:45 p.m. and are free for members
