Attend luncheon at the Betelstadur

  • Print

It looks like spring is finally coming, and what better way to welcome the warm season than with food and card games?

The Jon Sigurdsson Chapter of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire (IODE) is holding its Spring Bridge and Whist Luncheon at the Betelstadur Housing Co-op Ltd. (1061 Sargent Ave.) on April 26.

Before the lunch starts at 11:45 a.m., there will be a bake sale at 11 a.m.

Admission is $15, and tickets can be bought at the door.

Proceeds from the event support the annual IODE scholarship program.

The program provides scholarships to post-secondary schools and music education. Examples of these scholarships include the Gyda Naylor Memorial Scholarship of $500 for a student enrolled in the Faculty of Education and the IODE Music Scholarship of $500.
