Classic fashion coming to Charleswood
Attention history buffs, fashionistas, and lovers of theatre: the Charleswood Historical Society is hosting a fashion show in support of Charleswood Centennial events at Oak Park High School on Sat., April 6 from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Margaret Mills will emcee the strutting of old-time outfits from The Costume Museum of Canada, some of which date back more than 200 years. The museum has put on over 700 shows with its collection of more than 140 historical outfits.
Entertainment will also include Sandy Johnston (nee Sangster), and a skit by Charleswood Centennial’s Saints & Sinners, which includes Pat Spiring and Joan Rettie.
Tickets are $10 and refreshments will be served. Call Ken at 204-895-2787 or Eileen at 204-489-0482. Tickets will also be available at the Charleswood Museum, 5006 Roblin Blvd., Sat., March 30 from 2 to 4 p.m..
