Enid Cooper and her daughter are On The Go For You (OTGFY). And by you, they mean senior citizens, corporate executives, and busy moms.

"On The Go For You is an errands company that will do anything that (anyone from) a senior to an executive needs. Basically, what we are is running errands," Cooper said.

"We’ll do your grocery shopping, we’ll do dog walking, we will wash your house while you’re away on holidays, just a whole combination."

Fully bonded and insured, OTGFY opened up early this spring. Cooper says they currently have a few clients and they are still advertising their business.

"The difficulty is getting the word out there," Cooper said. "We’ve put lots of ads everywhere. Posters in doctor’s offices and dentist offices and legions and that kind of stuff."

Cooper’s daughter, 26-year-old Jessica, is a crucial part of the OTGFY team.

"She’s very excited. She’s happy to be working," Cooper said.

OTGFY is planning on incorporating some of Jessica’s own skills into their company.

"She took culinary arts," Cooper said. "If they’re looking for some help to buy their food and cook them a meal, we’ll be more than happy to do that."

Cooper has worked in customer service for most of her life. She ran her own cleaning business until her back gave out, so she went back into the private industry because she enjoyed customer service.

Eventually, she noticed the increasing population of seniors in Charleswood and St. James and wanted to do something to help them.

"My target audience would be taking care of the seniors first and foremost," Cooper said, adding she also offers services to businesspeople and parents.

"Even if companies want to save some time, I would run their deposits and that kind of stuff," Cooper said.

The rates vary depending on the person.

"We start at $25 for seniors by the hour," Cooper said. "Corporate would be $45."

Cooper said OTGFY is willing to provide more services than outlined in their ad.

"Basically whatever everyone needs. It’s not just what we have listed. As long as it’s a legitimate request, it wouldn’t be refused."

Their regular operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, but they are open to special requests.

"We will do specialties if they need anything earlier or later or the weekend," Cooper said.

"I would love to see us thriving with 25 to 30 employees just because the need is so great out there. While the kids are in another province, you need someone to look in on their parents."
