The Spence Neighbourhood Association recently held a grand opening for a new community park with two names.
Located at 561-569 Sherbrook St., the new park, which opened to the public on Sept. 26, is called Chief Grizzly Bear’s Garden as well as Ogimaa Gichi Makwa Gitigaan — its traditional Ojibwa name. Stew, bannock, and entertainment were provided at the event.
