Bikers exit the Polo Park Shopping Centre parking lot last Saturday to embark on the 5th annual Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad.
In spite of cloudy 13 C weather, the prostate cancer fundraiser attracted a record 1,002 registered riders, and raised a record $215,000, and counting, for a five-year total of more than $575,000.
"I’m overwhelmed by the generosity and hardiness of Manitobans," said prostate cancer survivor and ride spokesman Ed Johner.
