City officials are reminding local residents to recycle their old phone books.
As new phone books are delivered across the city, residents are reminded to recycle their old phone books with their other recyclables.
Individuals with curbside recycling collection can put their books in their blue recycling cart, while apartment residents with recycling service should put their books in their blue recycling carts or recycling bins, officials say.
Phone books can also be dropped off in the ‘paper’ bin at seven, 24-hour recycling depots across the city, including the St. James Civic Centre at 2055 Ness Ave., and behind the Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre at 430 Langside Street.
