Sock it to Siloam Mission at fundraiser

  • Print

Siloam Mission is hosting a fundraiser — more like a sock-raiser — called the Sock Hop for Siloam 2013.

The event will take place on Sept. 28 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Technical Vocational High School’s Hornet Dome (1555 Wall St.). The public is invited to attend. To gain entrance, bring $10 and a pair of socks.

Socks can also be donated at Siloam Mission, located at 300 Princess St.

True to its name, the Sock Hop for Siloam 2013 will capture the liveliness of the ’50s and ’60s-style school dance with a hula hoop contest, mini donuts, and candy floss.

Tickets can be purchased at Siloam Mission (300 Princess St.), Hull's Family Bookstores (373 Graham Ave.), Loewen Piano House (1381 Portage Ave.), and McNally Robinson Book Sellers at Grant Park Shopping Centre.

For more information regarding ticket prices and where to purchase them, visit siloam.ca or call 204-956-4344.
