The St. James-Assiniboia Library continues to seek teens to sit on its youth advisory council.
The library is looking for teens aged 13 to 17 to sit on the council, which helps plan library programming.

The council is geared toward those who like to read and discuss books and are looking for experience on their resume, as well as earn volunteer credits for school.
The council meets the last Tuesday of each month from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Its next meetings will be held March 26 and April 30.

Meanwhile, the library’s Teen Scene Book Club is looking to boost its membership. The club meets on the second last Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to talk about books centred around "intriguing teens, both real and imagined."

The club next meets on March 21 to discuss The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. The group will meet on April 18 to discuss Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult.

The Westwood Library is also looking for teens who enjoy reading and talking about the issues found in their favourite books.

The club meets the first Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The club meets on March 7 to discuss A Step From Heaven by author An Na, and on April 4 will meet to discuss Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen.
