Going the distance

John Wichers plans to cycle over 2,500 kilometres from Vancouver, B.C. to Winnipeg, Man. in support of the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation. Wichers hopes to raise enough money to purchase specialized bikes for 10 children. (DANIELLE DA SILVA/CANSTAR/SOUWESTER)


  • Approximately 600 students joined together to sing a song during an assembly on the rights of a child at École Van Walleghem School on Feb. 26. The assembly was part of a division-wide project in Pembina Trails on human rights culminating in a large mosaic at Investors Group Field.
