Courtney Addison and Josh Wytinck have been named athletes of the week by Bisons Sports.
Addison, a first-year University One student, is a forward on the women’s soccer team. Though she did not play in the home opener, she played all 90 minutes of the Bisons’ second game against Regina Sept. 7.
"Addison was dangerous when she had the ball and had one shot on goal and was named team MVP of the match for her efforts," said a release.
Wytinck is a fifth-year kinesiology and recreation management major, and plays on the Bisons men’s golf team.
Wytinck started the season hot in August at the 2013 Concordia Invitational in Moorhead, Minn., winning the individual title with a score of 134 (65-69) and breaking a Bisons record for the lowest score by a male individual in a single round.
A week later, the team was back in Minnesota for the 2013 Augsburg Fall Invitational two-day tournament held at Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake. There, he was an individual title co-winner with Bisons teammate Charlie Boyechko, firing a 144 score over 89 golfers.
