Cake and coffee with the cops

  • Print

Two Winnipeg police stations are moving and they’re having cake and coffee to celebrate.

The District 2 station (210 Lyle St.) and District 6 station (1350 Pembina Hwy.) will be merged at the new West District Station, located at 2321 Grant Ave., in November.

Both stations are holding cake and coffee events at their current locations as a way of saying thanks to the communities they serve.

The former District 2 station will host its event on Wed., Oct. 23 from 1 to 3 p.m. District 6 will host its celebration on Fri., Oct. 25 also from 1 to 3 p.m.

The come-and-go gatherings will be an opportunity for local officers to thank the community for being their neighbours and for the community to ask the officers any questions they may have,
according to a release.
