The Winnipeg Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Canada will present "Newly Diagnosed Night" on Sept. 19.
The education event, to take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., is for those newly diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative Colitis. Admission to the event is free but visitors must pre-register to learn its location.
One in every 160 people suffers from Crohn’s Disease or ulcerative colitis. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic bowel disease that leaves the large intestine inflamed with sores or ulcers. Crohn’s is an inflammatory bowel disease that can affect someone’s entire digestive tract.
